Truefitt & Hill Scent Desciptions

1805 Cologne* Our most popular fragrance is a light, fresh, and reminiscent of the French Riviera and Cary Grant in to “Catch a Thief”. The remake would star George Clooney as he sat with his leading lady watching the sunset and drinking Martini’s.  While the name celebrates our illustrious history, our signature scent is just like those leading men, suave, classic and yet unmistakably modern.

Trafalgar Cologne* This captivating spicy fragrance is named for the celebrated navel engagement that occurred on October 21, 1805, the very day William Francis Truefitt established his business. A man’s man like Eisenhower, Pierce Brosnan or Bruce Willis will travel to watch the World Cup, enjoys a night at the pub, attracts beautiful women and tackles life’s little problems with great gusto!

West Indian Limes Cologne*

Beyond any doubt, this fragrance has earned it place in the record books. An inviting scent that reminds one of warm, sandy beaches, tropical drinks, a cool calypso beat and the perfect sunset, West Indian Limes is as traditional Sean Connery but as cool as Brad Pitt or Leonardo Dicaprio .

Grafton Cologne* Rich leather chairs, crackling fires, soft music and a snifter of old cognac….whether in Vermont or Aspen, our elegant man appreciates the classics and is able to afford all the fine things life offers. Imagine a great game of chess being played between Paul Newman and Winston Churchill or Laurence Olivier and Michael Douglas.

Spanish Leather Cologne This “manly” fragrance captures the spirit of Clint Eastwood and John Wayne. One of the oldest scents in the Truefitt & Hill stable, Spanish Leather was updated in 2001 and is designed for the stylish gentleman who enjoys just a touch of nostalgia but is firmly set in the 21st century. Whether on a dude ranch or walking on Wall Street, we suggest that women beware; this fragrance has been called sexy and sinister!

Freshman Cologne The original formula for this fragrance dates back to our founding in 1805! This subtle and refreshing scent was blended with fashion conscious undergraduates of prestigious universities in mind, who visited the Truefitt Salon in London, eager to look and smell their best. Meeting the sophisticated needs of today’s on the go man, we envision Hugh Grant or Matt Damon wearing this unmistakably contemporary cologne.

 Clubman Cologne

This cologne owes its name to the favorite status it enjoyed with the members of exclusive gentlemen’s clubs in the mid 1850’s. Today’s modern interpretation of this fragrance brings to mind the coolest night spots, Orlando Bloom, Matthew McConaughey and beautiful women on each arm.     *core fragrance
