This gorgeous razor with exotic South American bocote wood handle is completely sealed against moisture. The scales are separated with a gold plated spacer and assembled using flush-mounted nickel fasteners. Well balanced to the blade, the handle offers exceptional hand control and a comfortable shave.
The blade begins as a forged high-carbon steel blank that is then tempered for hardness. Next a master craftsman shapes and grinds it into a 5/8 inch wide, extra hollow ground blade. What makes this razor unique is the extreme amount of hollowing achieved during the grinding process resulting in an extremely thin blade that actually emits a musical note when the razor's edge is plucked. The thin blade offers a flexibility allowing an unusually close shave since the razor's edge can flex and conform to slight facial contours and irregularities.
In the finishing process, file jimps are added to the upper and lower sides of the shank. Shank is then brand-stamped on the front and the back and detailed with the 2 color 24k gold "Prima Klang" (first note) hallmark on the front of the blade. Finally, the razor is sharpened and mirror polished.
The many generations of experience that went into the making of this razor are evident when you first hold it in your hand. It will provide the finest shave possible for many generations to come.
