DOVO Straight Razors

Imported from Solingen, Germany - World's Fine Cutlery Capitol This Genuine South American Bocote Wood handled Straight Razor celebrates the Beauty found in Nature that could never be equaled by man. It's Natural Exotic Wood handle is a true one-of-a-kind. Completely Sealed against moisture, the scales are separated by a Gold Plated Spacer and assembled using Flush Mounted Polished Nickel Fasteners.

The blade begins as a Forged High Carbon Steel razor blank. Next a Master Craftsman shapes and carefully grinds it into a 5/8 Extra Hollow Ground "Singing" blade. What makes this razor special, and different from all other DOVO razors, is the extreme amount of hollowing achieved during the grinding process. This results in an extremely thin blade that actually emits a musical note when the razor's edge is plucked. This thinness and resulting blade flexibility allows an unusually close shave by permitting the razors edge to flex and conform to slight facial contours and irregularities.

It's finishing is completed by Brand Stamping of the shank front and rear, and adding the 2-Color, 24k Gold, DOVO "Prima Klang" (First Note) hallmark to the front of the Blade. Finally it gets it's mirror-like polishing and sharpening.
