Next the blade takes shape in the hands of a Master Craftsman who shapes and grinds the forged blank into a semi-finished 5/8 Full Hollow Ground blade. The blade's finishing includes: Gold Filled Brand Stamping on the Shank front and rear; File Jimps on the underside of the shank; Polishing to a mirror finish front and rear; 24k Gold Etched Branding on blade front; Gold etched Swirl Pattern to match the handle's grain covering the entire blade, shank, and tang; Etched decorative pattern on blade's back; and then final sharpening and polishing. The overall effect is striking!
