All Hampshire pieces are handcast using bronze molds and finished by hand by independent, American artisans in New Hampshire. Each piece is made of Hampshire's own "Queen's Metal" pewter alloy, a precise combination of pure metals containing tin, bismuth, antimony, copper and silver. Look for the distinctive "touchmark" on the piece (assuring its authenticity) as well as letter codes on either side of the touchmark indicating the artisan and year made. The details of these pewter pieces, as with most handmade work, will vary slightly from one piece to the next.
