This handmade strop is custom crafted by a legend in mile-high Idyllwild, California. The locals call him Mountain Mike. He designed the strop for use by both novice and veteran straight razor shavers.
Strop measures 2" x 17" and is actually two seperate strops joined together at the top with a nickel plated swivel clasp and with heavy duty D rings at the ends. One is made of Prime Quality Red or Black Latigo Leather and the second of a nylon webbing. Please make color selection from pull down menu.

This affordable straight razor is perfect for the beginner. The handle is crafted from sturdy clean white resin. Well balanced to the blade, the handle offers exceptional hand control and a comfortable shave.
The blade begins as a forged high-carbon steel blank that is then tempered for hardness. Next a master craftsman shapes and grinds it into a 6/8 inch wide, full-hollow ground blade. In the finishing process, file jimps are added to the upper and lower sides of the shank. Shank is then brand-stamped on the front and the back. Finally, the razor is sharpened and mirror polished.
The many generations of experience that went into the making of this razor are evident when you first hold it in your hand. It will provide the finest shave possible for many generations to come.
