Few men born in the last half of the 20th Century have ever experienced a real Barbershop Shave. Fewer still have ever actually held or used a straight razor. Truth be known, few have ever actually been instructed in how to properly use a Safety Razor or to shave at all for that matter!

We will show you the methods that have been taught to professional barbers for decades and the practices that seem to work best for most shavers. Feel free to modify the techniques shown here to suit your personal needs, but remember, mastering the basics gives you a good foundation on which to build your own experiences. First you learn, then you experiment.
