An American Bladesmith with twenty five years of experience making Damascus Steel, Tim Zowada has meticulously crafted each razor for strength and utility. Damascus Steel was developed for use in the manufacture of the world's finest quality swords, knives, and other combatant equipment long before the advent of today's modern steels.  Long respected for its superior hardness and edge holding ability, it was feared on the battlefield for its ability to defeat blades forged of lesser quality iron and steel. When genuine Damascus Steel is used as a blade in Shaving Razors, the edge that can be attained is absolutely fantastic.  Routine stropping will keep the edge fresh for years and the quality of the shave, in terms of closeness and comfort, is beyond description. The natural graining produced, as a result of the laminating and forging, is left evident in the etched steel of the blade. 

A truly striking effect and a thing of uncommon beauty.  Due to individual forging, grinding and shaping, no two of these very special razors are ever alike.  Tim Zowada's use of unique and exotic materials in the crafting of his scales puts his razors in a class all their own;  fossilized mammoth bone, abalone, pearl, antique elephant ivory, and exotic hardwoods such as cocobolo, lacewood, bocote, flame maple, purple heart, tulip and zebrawood have all made appearances in his straight razor art.
