Discommon "Forged Carbon" 6/8 Straight Razor

Chopped carbon fibers are forged into our handle shape using a steel mold that had 79 hours of machining to create. That's almost four seasons of binge-watching Lost.
This is the First Ever "net-shape" execution of forged carbon in a "knife", and is the same process Lamborghini uses for its cars, and Callaway uses on its top tier golf clubs.

The unique "dual concave grind" blades are hand ground by Joseph Bowen in his signature style, with enough concavity to still allow traditional honing (the "step" tapers to zero at cutting edge and the concave keeps it off the stone). The blade has the Richter Precisions functional rose gold color coating, with a hardness and durability similar to the black DLC (please see the DEADPOOL razor).
Other product details:
  • Custom titanium hardware and phosphorous bronze washers
  • Anodized, laser etched, CNC milled aluminum spine spacer
  • Hardened steel stop pin holds blade in desired position to prevent dulling blade when closed

The final hone is completed at Razor Emporium by the esteemed Eric Engle to ensure a shave ready razor is shipped out. Custom leather and felt carry case made by the fabulous folks at LA's This Is Ground.
