Alum Block

I am happy to say that I have not had to use the alum block yet. I have been wet shaving for close to 50-years. I rarely cut or knick myself. But I live on a boat so I figured that the block would be a smart thing to have with my shaving gear.

Right size, right shape, box is a bonus!

I was delighted to be able to get this alum block with the wood box. Product is excellent and conveniently sized. Works well. Fits nicely on the small shelf over the sink. The box looks better than the plastic one as well.

Have You Ever Tried a Pre-Shave Oil or Lotion? Tried the pre-shave, still debating the benefits.
Do you prefer a Shave Soap or Cream? Using the soap for the first time. Still getting the hang of the brush but finding the effort more enjoyable.
Do you prefer a Safety Razor or Straight Razor? I prefer the convenience of a double edge safety razor.
How long have you been Wet Shaving? Just returned to after 30 years using loud, obnoxious, heavy, electric, expensive razors.

My first alum block- very nice! Will buy again.

This is my first alum block and after using this 4 times I really like it. It's a small size which I wanted and like. It really helps to provide feedback on your shave as it finds sensitive areas and closes pores and any weepers. I particularly like to use it on the neck area, and follow with a cold water rinse and then toner. I recommend and would buy this again. Very happy with my purchase and the wooden box is a nice touch and very convenient. This product would be great as a travel size too. Just put a rubber band around the box.
