Should have switched sooner to a straight razor

Shipping took almost 2 months but worth the wait!

Real quality set here, blade came in razer sharp. the soap is absolutely amazing I'll never use anything else, lathers nicely and the scent is killer (smokey like a campfire but somewhat sweet like you're roasting marshmallows over it). The dull blade is a nice show piece I probably won't really use and the brush is usable but not great, I prefer firmer bristles like my badger brush but the brush will work for you if you don't have another one. All in all, great set for the money and great set to start out!

Useful to get started

The Damascus razor is the one that comes dull. That's fine tho. Their "cheap" razor come sharp and ready to use our the box. The soap is great, the brush is awesome, and with a strop On the "cheap" razor. It's great, it's very handsome in carbon fiber design. Even with out the Damascus razor this set is an amazing deal for anyone starting or moving away from a shavette to a proper razor The Damascus I've yet to get to hold a really great edge and it feels a bit clunky. But a really lovely show piece

Top-notch starter set

This was a gift for my son who just reported back using this set for the first time. He loved it and is gradually building his confidence along with his technique for both wet shaving and using a straight razor. I have this same set and these two blades are my main go-tos. My only comment on the strop is that it's a synthetic leather - change this to a all leather strop for a better result.
