Whether hand-honing your razor is an art you have not yet mastered or a chore you prefer not to do, we will do it for you. We do our very finest work with your understanding and patience. We will hone your straight razor and restore its shaving sharp edge using the same time-honored and proven Hand-Honing, Lapping, and Stropping Techniques employed by professional barbers for over 400 years. Only by shaving with a properly sharpened razor can one appreciate the optimal quality, comfort, and closeness of a straight razor shave.

Your razor(s) will be in the repair shop for 1-4 business days. After sharpening we will return your shave-ready razor(s) directly to you by mail. (Please understand that shipping time to and from the sharpening service is not included in this time estimate.) We highly recommend choosing a shipping method with tracking information available (and insurance) when shipping your razor to us. Shipping to us is not included in the cost of this sharpening service.

If your razor will require any additional time for honing, we will contact you regarding additional charges. This would only be the case if the razor was damaged (chipped edge, bad rust & etc)...

If you have ordered other items such as soaps and creams, all items will be shipped with your honed razor once the razor has been received and the honing service has been completed. If you would like to receive the other products ordered ahead of your razor, please contact us to arrange for additional shipping charges.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Due to safety concerns, your razor MUST be cleaned before sending it to our professionals for sharpening/restoration.  If we receive the razor and there is: Soap, Hair, Blood etc. on the razor.  Your order will be refunded, and the razor sent back.  In case of refund due to a dirty blade, the customer is liable for the return shipping.

Order each razor sharpening from this listing by clicking on the "Add To Cart" button above.

Please describe your razor(s) in the memo box above.

The shipping you select and pay for at checkout will be the choice of return shipping that we use to return your razor(s) to you once we have finished sharpening.

When packing your razor, please do not wrap anything around the blade! The safest method is to wrap the whole razor in bubble wrap and place in a small padded envelope or small flat rate box.

**** Please Read Carefully: We have encountered a few razor companies that do not tend to hold an edge. These razors tend to be a somewhat softer steel (Not properly hardened compared to properly heat treated razors, with a Rockwell hardness of 57 or greater.) Softer steel keeps the edge from forming a cutting bevel, as the shaving edge will deteriorate. Some of these brands can also have a geometry that is a bit thick for a straight razor shaving edge. If you would like to send in a razor that is on the following list, the razor will go to the honing service for inspection to either be honed, with every effort to reach shaving quality or returned for a refund.

**** Please note: if you send us one of the razors on the list below, we will not refund the shipping cost to ship the razor back to you.

This is the first time every trying a straight razor and to tell you the truth I didn't think my razor was sharp enough. However after watching a few how to videos I realized it was my pour technique. Turned out CS did a great job sharpening my razor, thanks so much.
