The Blade: With its smooth, satin finish, this 5/8" blade has a quarter hollow grind, a square point and jimps on the underside of the tang.

Choose your Custom Scale: Whether you choose the refined sophistication of a quality resin scale or the Old World allure of a premium hardwood scale, the choice is all yours. Replacement scales are also sold separately and can easily be swapped out.

Each Hart razor comes with its own storage box, a hex wrench, and an instructional manual. For everyday use, apply Classic Brand razor oil; for long term storage we recommend Sentry Solutions Tuf-Glide w/Precision Applicator.

What is different about Hart Steel razors? In the spirit of American cottage industry our razors are created by Artisan Technicians (AT). One AT from start to finish has hand-ground, marked, sharpened and assembled each razor. You'll find the AT's personalized mark proudly stamped on each razor to indicate his craftsmanship and the maker’s assurance of quality.

Our steel is tested at a Rockwell hardness of 62 – 63, giving your razor the sharpest and most long-lasting edge possible. The one-piece scales have a simple elegance and are extremely durable while providing an excellent balance to the razor's edge. The scales are attached by a hex screw so the user can easily tighten or loosen to his preference as well as re-scale the razor. The addition of hand carved file jimps on the inside edge of the blade's tang provide extra grip and control while shaving. All Hart Razors are Handmade In The USA. These blades are built upon ordering. Please allow 3-10 business days for shipping.

The Hart Steel blades are made from 0-1 tool steel, never old forgings or “mystery metal”. The blades are surface-ground before and after heat-treating in a molten salt bath. The salt protects the blades from decarbonization and oxidation. The blades are then frozen in liquid nitrogen, which assures dimensional stability. Each blade is triple-tempered for a final hardness of 62 – 63 HRC.

      Pretty Good razor

The blade is well balanced and holds the edge well. No problems shaving or stropping The black paint on the scales arrived washed out and is slowly getting lighter, which is a minor nit.

      Nimble shaver

I wanted a US-made quality steel razor that would last, and this fits the bill. I have bought poorer quality razors that would not hone to a fine enough edge for a comfortable shave, but I applied the same honing technique to this Hart steel and the edge gives me a silky smooth, close comfortable edge. I appreciate the lightness of the 5/8 width, as well as the lightness of the scales.

      nice blade, cool secret hobby

quality of the blade was overall nice i dont think the edge holds very well and sharpening all the time is a pain in the behind, and for some reason roomates and family members are way more opposed to it than you'd expect, but its exciting and I love it id definitely recommend it, but I do wish the handle and hinge felt better and the details on the gold part are a little off but i love my razor with all my heart. that being said, it also made me really appreciate little cheap Walgreens electric razors that are like ten bucks for when you don't have three-four hours to shave and you can do an okay job in 3-4 minutes lol

      A Man's Razor

Why did I wait so long to switch to straight razor shaving. A bucket list need to shave using straight razor, it was easy using such a quality razor. A substantial And heavy-weight razor, it dose the work for you. A great razor to learn to strop with because if weight. It's a man's razor. Being American made just adds to its fineness.
