The Blade: With its smooth, satin finish, this 6/8" blade has a quarter hollow grind, a square point and jimps on the underside of the tang.

Choose your Custom Scale: Whether you choose the refined sophistication of a quality resin scale or the Old World allure of a premium hardwood scale, the choice is all yours. Replacement scales are also sold separately and can easily be swapped out.

Each Hart razor comes with its own storage box, a hex wrench, and an instructional manual. For everyday use, apply Classic Brand razor oil; for long term storage we recommend Sentry Solutions Tuf-Glide w/Precision Applicator.

What is different about Hart Steel razors? In the spirit of American cottage industry our razors are created by Artisan Technicians (AT). One AT from start to finish has hand-ground, marked, sharpened and assembled each razor. You'll find the AT's personalized mark proudly stamped on each razor to indicate his craftsmanship and the maker’s assurance of quality.

Our steel is tested at a Rockwell hardness of 62 – 63, giving your razor the sharpest and most long-lasting edge possible. The one-piece scales have a simple elegance and are extremely durable while providing an excellent balance to the razor's edge. The scales are attached by a hex screw so the user can easily tighten or loosen to his preference as well as re-scale the razor. The addition of hand carved file jimps on the inside edge of the blade's tang provide extra grip and control while shaving.

The Hart Steel blades are made from 0-1 tool steel, never old forgings or “mystery metal”. The blades are surface-ground before and after heat-treating in a molten salt bath. The salt protects the blades from decarbonization and oxidation. The blades are then frozen in liquid nitrogen, which assures dimensional stability. Each blade is triple-tempered for a final hardness of 62 – 63 HRC

      Great Blade

I enjoy the heft and feel of this razor. Holds edge well and easy to strop. I just bought another one for my razor rotation so I guess that speaks for itself!

      The perfect straight razor

I initially ordered two, really liked them, and then bought five more to make a seven-day set. These razors have the perfect grind and geometry for my very rough and coarse beard coupled with very sensitive skin. I would say I’d like to buy more, but the seven I have I expect to last the rest of my life. You could say they have ruined me for other razors, both new and vintage. I highly recommend these blades for anyone with similar needs. Shipping was extremely rapid and I didn’t even need to contact customer service because the whole transaction went so smoothly. Thanks!

      • Do you prefer a Shave Soap or Cream? Usually cream from a jar.
      • Have You Ever Tried a Pre-Shave Oil or Lotion? I use a pre-shave oil every shave.

      Love it

I love this razor! The weight is nice and it feels good in my hand. I opted to have it honed before shipping and it arrived ready to shave right out of the box.
