      Nice but!!!!

It was as described but i thought it would take the feather single edge blades but it will not and u guys dont offer a straight razor that does. I dont like the de blade cause it is so short u cant see the end of the blade when doing around the mouth area. But it is nothing that you guys did wrong

      Definitely a learning curve

I am new to straight razor shaving. Figured I would buy a shavette as a more affordable alternative before committing to the real deal. I am making some progression in learning how to use a straight razor. Unfortunately, I thought this would take the Feather Professional blades. It does not. You have to either take a d/e razor blade and snap it in half or buy the half blades. It's not a deal breaker, but I was hoping to use the Feather Pro-Guard in order to minimize nicks and cuts. I do like the design of the product. It looks sleek! I may upgrade to a real straight razor, depending on how this goes.

      Nice starter razor

I wanted to try shaving with a straight razor, but did not want to invest a lot of money. The BOG Shivette was a great choice. I use the single edge Feather Professional blades. These provide a great shave and I like them much better than snapping a DE blade in half. The single edge are longer and have a curved end which is less prone to nicking my skin. There is a bit of a learning curve with this razor. I started with my cheeks and learned how to shave my jawline and throat. It took a while but I did not have any cuts or nicks and it provides a great shave. Blades last a good week. I still use a DE razor when I'm in a hurry, but the Shivette is great when I have a few extra minutes for a great close shave.
