Bay Rum Wool Fat Shaving Soap 4oz

We're confident that once you've used "Classic Brand" Bay Rum Wool Fat Shaving Soap you will not want to use any other brand. We have been dreaming of a Wool Fat Shaving Soap ever since we read of the benefits of lanolin in skin care and we knew our soap maker in beautiful Northern Idaho was up to the challenge. After much research, formula tweaking and testing, they came up with what we feel is a true gem. This soap is rich and it creates a lather, while not fluffy, is quite silky and your razor will glide across it giving you a nourishing and smooth shave. The 3" diameter 4 ounce puck is quite dense and should last longer than an average shaving soap. Available in 32 unique scents.

Free from pesticides, preservatives and petrochemicals. Never tested on animals. This soap does not melt like a glycerin based soap, please do not attempt to melt and reshape.

Ingredients: Saponified Olive Coconut and Castor Oils, Lanolin, Water, Bentonite Clay, Shea Butter, Essential Oils, Fragrance Oils (organic ingredients are always used when available)

Fabulous Shaving Soap

Easy to lather. Nice mild scent, not overpowering. Wonderful post shave face feel. I like it better than the old formula of Mitchel's Wool Fat.

  • Have You Ever Tried a Pre-Shave Oil or Lotion? Yes, but never felt there was much benefit from them.
  • Do you prefer a Shave Soap or Cream? Shaving soap, but I occasionally use creams and enjoy them too.
  • Do you prefer a Safety Razor or Straight Razor? Neither. I shave with cartridge razors. I have safety razors that I occasionally use for nostalgia sake, but I greatly prefer cartridges.
  • How long have you been Wet Shaving? 65 years.

I get a great shave with a pleasant scent and its long lasting lather is easy to work up.

  • Do you prefer a Safety Razor or Straight Razor? Double edge safety razor.
  • Do you prefer a Shave Soap or Cream? Mug shaving soap.
  • Have You Ever Tried a Pre-Shave Oil or Lotion? Haven't felt like I would need to try one.

This is now my go to mug shaving soap. It lathers up quickly and provides a smooth shave, all while leaving my skin feeling nourished, not dry. Soft scent is an added bonus!

  • Have You Ever Tried a Pre-Shave Oil or Lotion? No, I haven't. If the shaving soap is good, I don't think you should need it.
