It's not a 6/8", but...

It arrived at the house shave ready and it provided a great shave. I didn't even strop it! The blade is 5/8" stamped on the tang. I'd have to admit I was a little disappointed that it was not 6/8", but after shaving with it, I'm happy with the purchase. 5 star happy.

Lovely razor!

This razor is excellent, ordered sharpened and received shave ready and after some light stropping had a lovely, smooth first shave. My razor was stamped 5/8 not 6/8 as listed, but I actually prefer the 5/8 size. I own several razors vintage and new, and this one is among my favorites now. The steel handle provides the right amount of heft and makes for a pleasant shave.

  • How long have you been Wet Shaving? 20+ years
  • Do you prefer a Safety Razor or Straight Razor? Prefer straight razor, but when time limited and in a hurry I will defer to a safety razor.
  • Do you prefer a Shave Soap or Cream? Shave soap and badger brush for me.
  • Have You Ever Tried a Pre-Shave Oil or Lotion? Occasionally will use a pre-shave oil, but mostly lanolin shave soap is sufficient for me.
