Rearden Razors - Solid Stainless Steel Black SinThetic Shaving Brush

We are working with Rearden Razors on a build to order special for any Classic Shaving customers that would like to get one of these Amazing Shave Brushes.

Weighing in at just under 1lb this machined and hand finished Stainless Steel Shaving Brush is hand crafted and assembled in Sandpoint, Idaho from 316 Stainless Steel.  This brush features a 26mm Synthetic hair knot - this is the finest synthetic knot we have ever created. We worked with a specialty make-up factory 8 years ago to change the wet shaving world when we introduced the Satin Tip luxury synthetic shaving brush. I believe we have set a new standard with the SinThetic knot... It is unreal.

Get your morning workout in using the Rearden Razor. Just be-careful not to drop this heavyweight on anything fragile.

My overall experience was wonderful, which I the reason that I feel compelled to write this review.... You see, I read the other comments, and yes, this brush is heavy. But, when I began bowl lathering with it, I noticed its substantial weight created an increased amount of torque, which greatly expedited the lathering process. The knot is excellent, the bristles are very soft, and yet, the knot has a good backbone. Great brush, at a great price.

  • Have You Ever Tried a Pre-Shave Oil or Lotion? Yes, my favorite is the Art of Shaving Oud preshave oil.
  • Do you prefer a Shave Soap or Cream? I don't really have a preference with soaps/creams. I've had fantastic shaves with each; with hard soaps, one can use the bloom water as a preshave, which is somewhat of a bonus.
  • Do you prefer a Safety Razor or Straight Razor? I have not yet begun my straight razor journey, so, at the current time, I prefer safety razors. I particularly fond of razors constructed of stainless steel.

Great size and looks

The brush is vey soft but is very heavy. I bought it because of the looks. I was not surprised by the weight of the brush though. You have to be ready for the heft and lathering process. Most of the time it sits on the shelf and is a conversation piece by people when they pick it up. They all say the same thing, "Boy it is heavier than it looks". I still like the the looks of it on my brush shelf.

Worth the weight

This brush weighs a lot but it provides the softest brush experience of any other synthetic or natural brushes that I have used.
