Razor Details:

The Blade: With its smooth, satin finish, this 6/8" blade has a quarter hollow grind, a square point and jimps on the underside of the tang.

Replacement scales are sold separately and can easily be swapped out.

Each Hart razor comes with its own storage box, a hex wrench, and an instructional manual. For everyday use, apply Classic Brand razor oil; for long term storage we recommend Sentry Solutions Tuf-Glide w/Precision Applicator.

What is different about Hart Steel razors? In the spirit of American cottage industry our razors are created by Artisan Technicians (AT). One AT from start to finish has hand-ground, marked, sharpened and assembled each razor. You'll find the AT's personalized mark proudly stamped on each razor to indicate his craftsmanship and the maker’s assurance of quality.

Our steel is tested at a Rockwell hardness of 62 – 63, giving your razor the sharpest and most long-lasting edge possible. The one-piece scales have a simple elegance and are extremely durable while providing an excellent balance to the razor's edge. The scales are attached by a hex screw so the user can easily tighten or loosen to his preference as well as re-scale the razor. The addition of hand carved file jimps on the inside edge of the blade's tang provide extra grip and control while shaving.

The Hart Steel blades are made from 0-1 tool steel, never old forgings or “mystery metal”. The blades are surface-ground before and after heat-treating in a molten salt bath. The salt protects the blades from decarbonization and oxidation. The blades are then frozen in liquid nitrogen, which assures dimensional stability. Each blade is triple-tempered for a final hardness of 62 – 63 HRC.

Strop Details:

3" Black Latigo Hanging Razor Strop is hand crafted using only premium hides to ensure the best stropping possible. Our strops feature extra-heavy "D" Rings for a comfortable handhold.

The leather used in making these strops contains a variety of oils that permeate the hide during the tanning process. As a result, our strops provide the perfect "draw" as is. Nothing is required to "break in" these strops prior to use.

Dimensions: Stropping Area 17 inches by 3 inches. Overall Length ~23 inches

 Made in the USA

Good quality

Sharp and alligned razor without any warp. Slightly smiling, something I like - the smile kind of contaminate my mood for the day. It seems like it’s hold the edge well, and I look forward to hone it myself - something I suspect will take effort the first time since I hone without tape, and I have a feeling the razor is honed with from CS. The strap is of good quality. In fact I have actually bought a second razor for rotation.

Hart Steel razor

Started using a straight razor for the experience. I like the look and weight. I will stick to safety razors.

Smooth Shaver!

This blade shaved as smooth as any in my collection. The hefty blade cuts right through any beard, leaving a clean and smooth feel.
